Alexis has helped coordinate weddings, Quinceras, corporate & non-profit meetings & events during her years working at the local Community Center. After changing careers, she missed the excitement of planning events and began coordinating weddings in her "spare" time. Her first wedding coordinated was over 400 people! In 2009, she married her husband Jack at the Sundial Bridge, and launched Red Bluff Events shortly after. The second half of "The Prize Wheel Divas", she has worked with various bridal shows in the North State. Alexis enjoys gardening, entertaining friends & family, decorating, reading and relaxing with her mutts, Vinnie, "G" dog, Logan, & cat Cindy Crawford, (and of course her husband too:)
Each week on My Red Bluff Wedding we'll post a fun topic to share about. This week's topic is "How did you meet your fiance?"
Kory:
I remember the moment I laid eyes on my husband, Grant (cheesy, but, I do!). I wanted to introduce myself but couldn't get up the nerve to walk right up to him with everyone watching. When I noticed he was talking to a long time friend of mine, I knew it gave me an "in" to butt in and say Hi. We ended up dancing all night and never looked back! We were happily married 2 years later and welcomed our son Carter a year later!
Alexis:
I actually met my husband the same night I met my "Korndog" Kory! I knew Grant through working at the Community Center and apparently he thought Jack and I were meant for each other. One night at Luigi's in the parking lot, Kory, Grant, and Jack followed me out to corner me and introduced us. I wasn't interested in meeting anyone but right away I was intrigued with Jack. He made me laugh when he went to shake my hand as he told me he was a sewer pumper and hadn't washed his hands after work. Turns out he wasn't a sewer pumper but had a great sense of humor, which was exactly what I was looking for! 5 months later we were engaged and married a year after that!
Now share your story with us! In the "comments" tell us how you met YOUR fiance!
